Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is an American chef television personality as well as a former teacher of the Institute of Culinary Education. The host of her show is Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef is a hit with her signature spikey blonde locks and pump up personality, provides easy techniques anyone can learn. Chef Burrell is also a part of some of the top restaurants located in New York, studied the tradition of Italian cuisine, and the culinary landscape in Italy, and battled on the Food Network's Iron Chef America. When she was growing up in the upper reaches of New York area, Chef Burrell found a passion for cooking and food from the age of a child. Following her graduation with an English and Communication degree from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her interest in the industry of restaurants by enrolling in The Culinary Institute of America. The student says "I thoroughly enjoyed my time as a Culinary Institute of American student. I was awed by every minute." I didn't have enough knowledge, couldn't perform enough or work hard enough. After graduating, Chef Burrell went on to spend one year in Italy attending Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners during her time at La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. While in Italy she learned to comprehend and appreciate the philosophy of Italian cuisine and its culture, which left a lasting impact in her point of view. Burrell served as a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to improve children's lives who are facing problems. Also, she's an Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador where she advocates for education about the condition known as juvenile diabetes. She travels frequently around the United States in her position as both a mentor and guest speaker where she discusses her work and passion for cooking. Through her culinary adventures, Anne often says that she feels very fortunate to share my true passion to others.
