Milena Govich

Milena Govich is an actress also a director, actor, and musician. She has helmed numerous episodes of TV such as Chicago Med (2015) (211) and The Equalizer (221). Additionally, she was the Co-EP/Producing director of Dick Wolf's CBS series FBI (2018). She is currently working on two pilots in the process of development. Milena was among eight women chosen by AFI for their prestigious Directing Workshop for Women. She also took part in the Sony Pictures Television Diverse Directors program. Unspeakable was her short film as well as a TV show proof of concept, was premiered at SXSW. The film also won Best Episodic at the Seattle International Film Festival, and Best Pilot at the SoHo International Film Festival. The film, Temporary, she produced (2017) was shown throughout the United States. She was awarded the award for Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival. Best Dark Comedy Award at Atlanta ShortsFest. And the Director's Choice Award from Sedona International Film Festival. Milena has appeared in more than 100 television shows. She first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis Leary/FX). Conviction (2006) was her first appearance on CBS. She was then the first and only female detective on Law & Order (1990). K-Ville (2007) (Fox); The Defenders (2010)(CBS); Make It or Break It (2009) (ABC Family) as well as Lori Stevens (MTV Drama Finding Carter (2014). Milena is also a part of several movies, including Sordid Things (2009); A Novel Romance (2011), starring opposite Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015); #Lucky Number (2015), starring alongside Method Man; and the film series Closure (2018), Be the Light (2020), and The Cleaner (2021). Milena is a native of Norman, Oklahoma was the valedictorian of her high-school before she completed a double major vocal performance and a premedical degree at the University of Central Oklahoma. She was also valedictorian of her high school. Her classical ballet training to make her Broadway debut in the Rob Marshall/Sam Mendes production "Cabaret" at Studio 54.
