Markie Post

Markie Post grew up in Walnut Creek, California and started her career on films and TV shows such as Card Sharks (1978) and "The New Card Sharks" (1986) and continued to make projects like Double Dare (1976) and was a guest on television projects like 1st to Die (2003), E! True Hollywood Story (1996), Electra Woman (2001), and Dyna Girl (2001). Perhaps she is most well-known for her performance in "Christine Sullivan", the Night Court star (1984). From 1984 until 1992, she was a part of 156 shows. Marylee (Armstrong) Post was her mother. She is a noted poet and nuclear scientist Richard Freeman Post (November 14, 1918-April 7, 2015). With her second husband Michael A. Ross, she had two children: Katie Ross (born June 26, 1986) and Daisy Ross (30 March 1990). Born in Palo Alto in California and was raised in Walnut Creek. She was a cheerleader at Las Lomas High School in Walnut Creek, California. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Lewis & Clark College, Portland Oregon. She performed trick roping at The Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). She was cremated and her ashes were given to Michael A. Ross. She was a lifetime Democrat. Markie Post passed away on 7 August 2021, three months away from what would have been her 71st birthday on November 4. She was 27 days from Charles Robinson, Night Court (1984) which was the co-star of which she passed away on July 11 the 11th of July, 2020. Even though the shows were not connected, Night Court (1984) concluded with Christine Sullivan's character leaving for Washington DC. Hearts Afire (1992) started with Post as Georgie Lahti. Post was a new character in Hearts Afire (1992), and she later relocated to a more secluded area after her time in Washington DC.
