Emily Swallow

American actress Emily Swallow, born December 18 1979. She is best known for her roles as Kim Fischer on The Mentalist and as Amara The Darkness in the eleventh season of Supernatural. She also appears as the Armorer in the live-action Star Wars series The Mandalorian as well as a role as Emily in the video game The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born 18 December 1979 in Washington, D.C. She lived in Sterling, Virginia and Jacksonville, Florida. While attending Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville She began her acting career in various amateur, college professional and amateur stage productions. Swallow earned a Bachelor of Arts in Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Virginia in 2001. She pursued her studies towards an MFA in Acting in New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in Acting. She starred in world premieres of Donald Margulies' play The Country House at Los Angeles' Geffen Playhouse alongside Mark Rylance in Louis Jenkins' play Nice Fish at the Guthrie Theater, [citation needed] and also in John Patrick Shanley's musical Romantic Poetry at Manhattan Theater Club. Swallow won the Falstaff Award for best Female Performer in 2010 for her performance as Kate in the play The Taming of the Shrew.In 2012, Swallow and fellow singer/comedian Jac Huberman conceived their own stage show, Jac N Swallow, which they performed in New York at the Laurie Beeckman Theater and Joe's Pub. The show is about the hilarious adventures of Jac Huberman and Swallow who face a myriad of challenges in their lives with different degrees of difficulty.
