Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy (19 November 1975) is a Canadian actor and singer. Her appearances on American television shows Law & Order were three-seasons long. Crossing Jordan lasted six seasons. Jordan Cavanaugh was her main character. She also appeared as an actor in films such as RoboCop 3 or Most Wanted and independent films like Chutney Popcorn, which she co-directed. Hennessy was born and was raised in Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy her father was a salesman and marketing executive. He was a frequent traveler which led to many family relocations. Maxine, Maxine's mother, died in the year 1982. Her daughter was left in the care of Eleanor, her paternal grandmother. John Paul Hennessy Jr. is her younger brother. Jacqueline is her identical twin sister. She is a writer for a Canadian magazine and host. Hennessy has Irish, French, Swedish and Italian heritage on her father's side, and mainly Ukrainian Roma, as well as Austrian and Austrian ancestry from her mother's. After graduating from Grand River Collegiate Institute (both located in Kitchener) She was a student at Stanley Park Senior Public School. She also busked on the Toronto subway. Hennessy and her sister were among the first to act as twin call girl in 1988's Dead Ringers. Gillian Anderson, Gillian Anderson's sister, stated that she was chosen for The X-Files for Dana Scully's part. Hennessy also played the character as Dr. Marie Lazarus on RoboCop 3. In 1993 Dick Wolf signed Hennessy to the role of Claire Kincaid assistant district attorney on Law & Order. The role was occupied for three seasons before she left the show in 1996.
