2 Chainz Biography

Tauheed Epps, better known by his stage name 2 Chainz, is a popular American rapper and hip hop artist. Georgia born, Epps started his musical career when he and a high school buddy created the hip-hop group Playaz Circle. Their debut album, 'Supply & Demand,' was not a huge success. Epps later released "Based on a T.R.U." Story', his debut studio album. It was a huge hit and debuted at number 1 on the US Billboard 200. It sold 147,000 copies within the initial week. He has never looked back since the album's success and rose to be one of the most respected rappers in America. He has been nominated for six Grammy awards to date, out of which he has won one, for his song 'No Problem'. When his bag with promethazine and marijuana was found inside his luggage during a flight departure from Los Angeles International Airport, the singer was detained. The incident did not affect his popularity. The fourth and newest studio album 'Pretty Girls Like Trap Music' was released in June 2017. "Based on the T.R.U. Story', which was the first studio album by 2 Chainz, can be regarded as his debut album, as well as the most successful album of his career. The album was a huge success. It reached the top spot in the US Billboard 200 and sold 147,000 copies in less than a week. Over the year, it eventually sold more than 623,000 copies. The album featured smash singles like "No Lie' and 'Birthday Song. I'm Different was also nominated for the 55th Grammy Awards for Best Rap Album. The majority of reviews were positive. 2 Chainz married Kesha Ward in 2013. The couple have three children, Heaven and Harmony. He is not only a highly successful professional, but he is known for his brushes with the law. Multiple times he has been arrested for drug possession.
